Charlie Brown Pathetic Christmas Tree

charliebrowntree1.jpg Just in case anybody missed this. I’ve seen it a couple places around the internet (including Daniel Stoddart’s blog.) Now you can have your very own Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. Here’s some of the description:

The tree is an exact replica of the tree from the famous cartoon, made of wire branches and plastic needles with a criss cross wooden base. The bendable branches allow you to make it look just how you want, super pathetic or just kind of pathetic.

On a related note. We decided this year to put up an artificial tree (the first time we had not bought a real one in a long time). We put it up Sunday night, but did not have time to decorate. Well last night I couldn’t stand it and we all went to pick out a real one. Ah, I love the smell of a real tree. I promised to never let it happen again. From now on it’s the real thing for us.

Seeing that tree reminds me of watching CB when I was little. Good memories.

Yeah, it made me want to go home and watch it tonight...

So does your real tree look anything like CB's?

Actually it's one of the best looking ones we've ever gotten. And the funny thing is we didn't really give it a good inspection. It was one of the quickest picks we've ever made for a Christmas tree.

Thanks for the link. I hoped people would figure out I was being ironic...the whole point of A Charlie Brown Christmas is authenticity in the Christmas message, with the Pathetic Tree as a type of fallen humanity, I think.

BTW, my last name is 'Stoddart', not 'Stoddard' (the more common spelling).

Merry Christmas if I don't hear from you before then, Steven.

Whoops, I apologize about the typo. I should be more careful about that. It bugs me when I get Stephen. I'll fix it now.

Yeah, I thought a fake Charlie Brown Christmas tree was pretty ironic too.

Merry Christmas to you as well!
