VW Phaeton Assembly Plant

Dresden_small.jpg

I saw this over on Barlow’s blog. Somebody took a tour of the plant in Dresden Germany that makes the Volkswagen Phaeton. It just reinforces why I’ve been drawn to VW’s recently. Now, I know that they don’t use these methods for Jetta production. The Phaetons start at nearly $70K, so a lot of care goes into them. We’ve been Honda owners for the past 14 years I guess. But recently, those VW’s have been very enticing. They remind me of Apple.

Man, that's a beautiful car factory. It's a pretty nice looking car, too. They've come a long way from the Beetle. I have a friend that owns a Passat and I really like it.

Hard to believe VW sales the Phaetons so cheap. Heck, for $70, I'd take at least three of them.

Funny. I had only had one Guinness with supper, and it was a couple hours before that. $70 would be a good deal.
